The perfect plan
There was a plan to train the puppy from the very beginning.
We bought a carrier for him to sleep and feel comfortable in.
I agree, the thing is a tad too small, but it should do for now.
We watched videos and tutorials, and I read more than I bloody wanted.
The plan was to make him smart, keep him safe, and give us some time off from duties.
Yes, I was thinking about me mostly. Enjoying the time off. Reading stuff, cooking and winding off.
It all started well.
The li'l guy and I had some quality time: all fun and bonding.
Then he got tired, went to the loo — he's good with puppy mats — and went into the carrier for a nap.
Everything by the book.
We repeated the routine a few more times.
Late in the evening, the li'l guy went into the carrier for the night.
We moved the carrier onto a chair next to our bed so he could see us and we could comfort him if needed.
Wise people say it should work, and it did.
First day - win-win.
As life goes, the plan has remained only a plan...
